Staphylococcus aureus und mecA Nachweis in Vollblut mit dem DNA-Extraktionskit MolYsis und Real-Time PCR

Wellinghausen et al. untersuchten in einer prospektiven Studie anhand von 902 Blutproben aus 384 Patienten das Vorkommen einer Staphylococcus aureus-Bakteriämie und des Methicillin-Reistenzgens mecA. Dafür wurden das prä-analytische Verfahren MolYsis für die Aufarbeitung von bis zu 5 ml Blut und Real-Time PCR-Assays verwendet. In der Veröffentlichung werden die viel versprechenden Ergebnisse mit dem Test in Bezug auf die Verwendbarkeit von molekularen Tests für die S. aureus/mecA-Diagnose diskutiert. >>Link zur Online-Publikation
