SepsiTest™ SelectNA is the kit containing all reagents and consumables for the automated isolation of pathogen DNA from whole blood and rRNA gene-based universal PCR/Real-Time PCR detection of bacteria and fungi. The kit further includes sequencing primers for the sequence identification of detected pathogens. A simple and easy-to-handle design of the system allows the reliable molecular analysis of whole blood samples for bacteraemia and fungaemia. The system detects and identifies more than 345 bacteria and fungi, including also rare infectious agents such as intracellular bacteria, tick-bite transferred organisms, and unusual bacteria and fungi.
