UMD™ Swab serves the analysis of infectious agents colonising wounds, abscesses, prosthetic implants, the oral cavity, teeth and other body sites. Swabs can be processed following a special DNA extraction protocol. Organisms are detected by PCR or Real-Time PCR and identified by sequence analysis. All reagents and consumables necessary for extraction and molecular analysis are supplied with the kit.
